PCCC introduces Rick’s Automotive Raffle

Nearly 50 Ozarks children’s charities will benefit in a new raffle featuring grand prizes of a 2021 John Deer UTV, a 2021 John Deer riding lawnmower as well as getaways to Mexico or Hawaii.

Rick’s Automotive Raffle was announced Thursday by the PGA Korn Ferry Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper. If all 5,000 tickets are sold, it would mean an additional $100,000 to the charities.

“We are thankful that Rick Hughlett of Rick’s Automotive threw his support behind our charities,” said Byron Shive, President of the PCCC. “It’s been a challenging stretch for all of our charities, and this program will be another boost to help them meet their missions.”

Hughlett, who founded Rick’s Automotive in 1980, expressed excitement about expanding his company’s charitable giving. The drawing is set for Oct. 5 at the White River Conference Center at Bass Pro Shops.

“We try to support local charities, and this is an opportunity to give to so many charities,” Hughlett said. “The tournament has been going on for so long that I know the money is distributed well. At the same time, the people of the Ozarks get to have a good time and see a great tournament.”

The tournament has long offered a number of fundraisers, from pro-ams to galas, auctions and sweepstakes drawings.

The Rick’s Automotive Raffle features:

  • 5,000 tickets available at $20 each. The drawing will be held on Oct. 5 at the White River Conference Center at Bass Pro Shops.
  • The grand prizes consist of a 2021 John Deer UTV, a 2021 John Deer tractor riding lawnmower as well as two getaways: a seven-night trip for two to Vidanta Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, and a five-night trip for four to Outrigger Beachcomber Resort in Waikiki, Hawaii.
  • Those who purchase the tickets also will be entered for a 1-in-50 chance to win one of 100 Rick’s Automotive certificates.
  • The ticket also is good as a four-day grounds pass into the PCCC, either for this year’s tournament or next year’s.

The raffle is among four raffle/sweepstakes programs and was created because the tournament anticipates the TLC Properties Charity Sweepstakes selling out of its 8,000 tickets.

The tournament features three other raffles/sweepstakes programs:

  • In the TLC Properties Charity Sweepstakes, grand prizes are a 2021 Toyota Tundra or $10,000. A ticket is $25 and is good as a four-day grounds pass to next month’s tournament.
  • The Ultimate is a $1,200 buy-in with a 1-in-100 chance to win a 2021 Corvette Stingray. It includes VIP parking during the tournament, an indoor-outdoor air-conditioned skybox facing the Nos. 9 and 18 greens, breakfast and lunch in the clubhouse as well as two golf polo shirts and the PCCC poster autographed by the tournament champion.
  • Additionally, folks have a chance to win the Getaway to Paradise, which is a $100 raffle with only 300 tickets available. It’s a seven-night stay (Saturday to Saturday) at Castella Del Mar in Manzanillo, Mexico. The 10,000-square foot home includes eight suites and bathrooms, a personal chef, house manager, pool, private beach and is close to golf courses and tennis courts. Jet skiing, zip-lining, snorkeling also are offered.
