OZARK – A Price Cutter-sponsored team took home top honors in the Therapy Support Pro-Am on Monday at Millwood Golf and Racquet Club.
Mike Craft, Chris Marsh, Mike Morton and Kevin Greim – with pro Richard Johnson on the team — finished with a 55 to win the 38-team pro-am.
The team of Phil Daniels, John Morgan, George Watkins and Craig Peterson placed second with a 57 as they teamed with pro Kevin Kring.
Jackson Brothers of the South placed third with a 59. Its team featured Scott Crosby, Clayton Cooper, Robert Sharp, Cheek Travis and pro Travis Hampshire.
The Therapy Support Pro-Am was part of the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper, the PGA Tour’s annual Web.com Tour stop in Springfield and the chief fundraiser for Ozarks children’s charities. Dawie Van der Walt won the PCCC on Sunday.
Upcoming PCCC-related events include the Habitat Hoe Run and Springfield’s Largest Water Balloon Fight on Saturday beginning at the Price Cutter Supermarket near Republic Road and Kansas Expressway; Cardinals Care Pro-Am on Aug. 24 at Buffalo Ridge Golf Course; and the Bryan Properties Nighttime Golf Classic on Aug. 27 at Millwood.
The make-up date for the Mercy Pro-Am morning round, which was postponed because of rain on Aug. 10, will be announced soon.
The Celebration of Sharing, in which the overall PCCC dollars raised for 44 charities, will be announced on Dec. 1 at Highland Springs Country Club.
