All high school and middle school golfers now can play one additional competitive event before the school year.
The Betty and Bobby Allison’s Junior Pro-Am is now set for Thursday, Aug. 6 at Rivercut Golf Course. It’s one of three events dedicated to kids and teens and part of the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper.
The Junior Pro-Am is $75 a player, or $300 for a four-person team. This is a scramble format, plus the score of a professional golfer. Registration fee includes participation in the event, logo cap, sleeve of golf balls and a picture with a professional golfer. Call 417-887-3400 to enter, or visit the tournament’s website, pricecuttercc.org, to download an application form.
The Junior Pro-Am’s divisions are for boys and girls in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades, plus a separate division for high school golfers. Players younger than 16 will not be allowed to drive a cart and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
