What started as a neat idea has grown into an inspiring cause. That’s the best way to describe the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks.
After all, since its founding in 2012, the organization has distributed more than 5.7 million diapers. That includes last year, when Diaper Bank of the Ozarks – get this – distributed 1,122,117 diapers to 94 partner agencies serving 60 counties in the Ozarks.
Which is why the PGA Korn Ferry Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper is proud to have Diaper Bank of the Ozarks (DBO) on board again this year. For DBO, PCCC has made a difference.
Needs for the year 2021 already have increased.
“As services in the community resume and recovery efforts progress, the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks’ focus will be on partnering with our agencies to ensure the diapering needs of their community members are met,” said Kelly Brown, Director of Community Engagement for Diaper Bank of the Ozarks. “With a huge increase in diapers distributed so far this year, this will likely mean serving over 30,000 babies in 2021.
Its mission statement is simple: Diaper Bank of the Ozarks keeps babies healthy and happy by distributing diapers to partner agencies serving families in need throughout the Ozarks. It also has a Cloth Diaper Loan Program free to anyone interested in cloth diapering their baby.
The Diaper Bank of the Ozarks is truly appreciative of the community throwing its support behind the PCCC.
“The PCCC has helped the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks spread awareness about diaper need and our mission of keeping babies healthy and happy,” Brown said. “Because we work behind the scenes by distributing diapers through partner agencies, many community members are unaware of our existence or involvement in meeting the diapering needs of families in their community. “Becoming a participating PCCC charity has increased communities’ awareness of our organization, its mission, and our efforts to help families.”
