CHANCES of Stone County is making an impact with a mission of serving Stone County’s developmentally disabled by providing inclusive services and support to promote purpose, independence, quality of life and valued community involvement.
In 2018, CHANCES was named the Korn Ferry Tour’s Charity of the Year. The most significant success since it joined the PCCC is Club DayBreak, which focuses on recent high school graduates so that they can maintain friendships.
CHANCES is hosting its Nightan Gala coming up on Sept. 11 at Chateau on the Lake in Branson. It’ll include entertainers from Branson a year after several performers from the Showboat Branson Belle entertained the crowd.
“The PCCC has been a real life-changer for CHANCES,” said Cherie Smetana, a board member. “The PCCC has given us the support we needed to continue to serve the developmentally disabled and their families of Stone County. PCCC supports our fundraising efforts, helps spread the word about CHANCES, and also gives us the opportunity to partner with other great non-profits in the area that are working toward the same goal.”
