The reigning champions of the Integrity Home Care Pro-Am turned the trick again Saturday at LedgeStone Country Club and, even better, earned a return trip to play at Pinehurst, N.C.’s Nos. 2 & 8 courses – where Springfield’s Payne Stewart once won a U.S. Open.
The team of Nathan Stokes, Jacob McLaughlin, Ryan Pinnel and Kent Oglesby teamed with pro Ron Streck to fire a 54 and win on a scorecard tiebreaker.
The victory means the group can play in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ National Scramble Championship on Nov. 17-19 at Pinehurst.
Placing second was a Central Bank/Central Trust team of Russ Marquart, Mark Waltersckirchen, Brad Gebhard, Tyler Phillips and pro Joey Johnson. Earning third place was a KWFC team featuring Keith Stafford, Bill Perkin, David Taylor, Alex Schriever and pro Ollie Penn.
The pro-am was part of the PGA Web.com Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper, which is Thursday through Sunday at Highland Springs Country Club. For tickets or sponsorships, call 417-887-3400.
