Nearly 60 aspiring golfers ranging from 6 to 14 years of age competed in the second annual Ozarks Juniors Pitch, Chip & Putt Championship presented by B&T Electric and Freedom Bank on Monday at the Betty Allison’s Family Center at Oscar Blom.
The top three finishers in each division advanced to the finals, which are set for 6 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at Highland Springs Country Club. The winners will receive prizes and will be introduced on the 18th green following play of the “Go Blue Fore Autism” Championship Sunday of the PGA Korn Ferry Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper.
In the 12-14 age boys division, Matthew Whitworth (123), Jack Tyrell (120) and Ty Howerton (102) finished first, second and third, respectively. In the girls division, Lyla Louderbaugh (152), Marlee Edgeman (141) and Kaydence Yockey (75) were the top finishers.
In the 9-11 age division, Peyton Burbridge (171), Tyler Davis (142) and Jackson Crocker placed first, second and third, respectively, in boys. In the girls category, DeLaney Daniels (153), Laylah Bates (123) and Allison Keller (73) advanced to the finals.
In the 6-8 boys division, Clark Hubbard (134), Schen Fronce (132) and Max Albers (105) advanced to the July 22 finals. In the girls division, Zoe Williams (76), Sage Alexander (74) and Chandler Wasson (36) had the top scores.
