The Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper joins the family of Gary Wallace in mourning the passing of one of the tournament’s most dedicated volunteers.

Wallace, a longtime volunteer of the tournament, passed away on Thursday, July 23. He was 62. Wallace oversaw the caddies of the Price Cutter Charity Championship, part of the PGA Tour’s Web.com Tour.

“Gary was such a great guy to work with,” Tournament Chair Sharyn Wagoner said. “I always knew that everything related to caddies would be taken care of as long as Gary was around. I never had to worry about that. I will miss him, not only as a friend, but as a valued tournament volunteer.”

A celebration of life is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 30 at Cooper Estates Club House, 1311 N. Cooper Blvd., in Springfield. Gary was preceded in death by his son, Bryan, and is survived by his daughter, Lindsay and family.
