Champion Athletes of the Ozarks is an athlete-driven program established to enhance the lives of children and adults with disabilities living in the Ozarks through sports training and competition, building self-esteem, self-confidence and social skills. The tournament allows Champion Athletes of the Ozarks to provide sports programs all year to create a positive atmosphere, teach decision making skills, team skills, appropriate behaviors, life skills and a feeling of success. These skills are necessary for those in our program to be successful in work and at school and to be more productive citizens in our community. In addition, the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper provides the organization’s athletes with numerous job training opportunities; and in 2007 allowed Champion Athletes of the Ozarks to add a fourth reading class for the individuals they serve.
