Play with a Pro! Check out PCCC’s cool golf experiences

Ask Gary Goetz about why he enjoys the PGA Web.com Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper, and he shares a ton of terrific memories.

And why not? One year, his group was paired with Rod Pampling. “Three weeks later,” Goetz said, “Rod was playing against Tiger Woods and keeping right up with him.”

That’s why Goetz and many other business people encourage golfers and local businesses to take part in the PCCC’s upcoming pro-ams. Simply put, your team could be paired with a future PGA Tour standout as you also entertain current or prospective clients.

Even better, by supporting the PCCC, your business will support 45 Ozarks children’s charities.

This year, the PCCC offers a nearly a dozen golf experiences, including nine pro-ams. In each, your team receives a continental breakfast, lunch, use of carts, a terrific golfer gift package, on-course beverages and snacks and team photos. Trophies go to winning teams.

And note that the winning team of the Integrity Home Care Charities Pro-Am will receive free entry into the Fellowship of Christian Athletes National Scramble Championship, to be held Nov. 18-19 at Pinehurst, North Carolina’s courses No. 8 and No. 2, which has hosted a number of PGA Tour majors.

Goetz is the Executive Vice President of SRC Holdings, which sponsors the SRC Pro-Am on Monday, August 7 at Highland Springs Country Club. He also plays the next day in the Silver Dollar City Pro-Am, held at Buffalo Ridge Golf Course south of Branson.

“When you are on the course and the scoreboards are up and you see the PGA trailer out there, (the pro-am) has a real classic feel,” Goetz said, noting that his teams have twice hosted the CEO of John Deere, Sam Allen. “In our business, we always enjoy situations that are win-win. Sometimes, we’ll have a prospective customer with a current client. It builds a sense of trust when they see the relationship you have.”

Plus, teams playing in the pro-am are supporting children’s charities of an event that has gifted almost $14 million in the past 27 years, including more than $905,000 last year.

“You’re part of one of the biggest charitable events around,” Goetz said. “That’s what makes it awesome.”
