The Phil Daniels team carded a 57, the best of the day at the Golfing for Justice Pro-Am

A morning team of Phil Daniels, Craig Peterson, Bob Michaels, John Morgan and pro Ollie Penn won the morning round – and turned in the day’s best overall score (57) – while a Central Bank/Central Trust won the afternoon round of the Golfing for Justice Pro-Am on Monday at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club.

The event was part of the PGA Web.com Tour’s Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper, which benefits 47 Ozarks children’s charities. Among the charities is Legal Services of Southern Missouri, which joined the tournament this summer.

In the morning round, a Price Cutter Supermarkets team of Joey Ryan, Dan Daily, Kevin Huff, Roger Umfleet and Jace Long placed second with a 57. Placing third, with a 59, was a team sponsored by DES, LLC CPA & Advisors and consisting of David Simmons, Miles Brown, John Roark, Chris Coon and pro Kevin Kring.

In the afternoon round, the winning Central Bank/Central Trust team of John Gamble, Richard Ollis, Dave Myers, Russ Marquart and pro Joel Thelan carded a 58 and won a scorecard tiebreaker.

Second place belonged to a Legal Services of Southern Missouri team of David Coutchie, Kim Bradley, Chris Hanner, Wade Palmer and Jim Powell fired a 58. That was the same score of the third-place team, Price Cutter/Cruise Marketing, which featured Mark Michaels, Adam Lyons, Tim Marby, Ed Addington and pro Taylor Artman.
